As a wedding photographer, I like to put myself in my clients shoes.
I know they have not done this before so it is imperative that I tell them realistic expectations.
Timing is everything in a wedding, I think of it as if I was creating a movie. I need all the details, all the laughter, all the moments recorded.
From the engagement session, I coach them to pose for the camera and even better for each other. Posing techniques I created with my 25 years of experience, that we change up in seconds.
Wedding day is where my experience comes to play a big part of their day.
To start with, I create a timeline for them getting ready, most brides think getting ready for us is all the way before makeup is even put on.I had a bride once that wanted me to get her coming out of the shower. Realistically
you won't want any of those photos in your album, so since our time is valuable it is best for us to arrive once hair and makeup is done.
We get touch ups at that time and make sure you are already perfect, then we gather your bridesmaids and have some fun shots, perhaps throwing confetti on the bed, or popping champagne.
A beautiful walking shot of the girls in robes is a must!
Once you get dressed we can go to the groom's room.all the guys should be dressed except the groom.
We start with his details, shoes, belt, watch, cologne, jacket and any gifts for the groomsmen.
Once he puts on his shoes, his father or best man can help him with cufflink, jacket and tie.
The Mother of the groom can put on his boutonniere for some added pictures.
I like to shoot what I call the last shot of his single life. Where groomsmen can toast the groom for one last bachelor drink.
Then we go to do some walking shots, Pretty much these are shots like if the building behind them blew up and they are walking in slow motion toward the camera.
Since we are in Miami, I also look at sunset times to create beautiful outdoor images during the day.
From your invitation to the perfume you will wear that day, I want to capture every detail.
At night is when my magic happens. Off camera flash is the key for me getting artistic images of my clients. Creating a feel with light and colors and always posing them in
a very romantic way. You can find me moving my legs on the dance floor as when the vibe is kicking, my dopamine charges and creative modes are in full production mode.
Late at night as we are left with the real party people, we can get a giant group shot and then end with a happily ever after sparkler exit.
